About the Artist

David and his mother, Bonnie Paulley

The artist of the ZodMan™ Series, David Paulley, is a Graphic Design Partner and founder of Ram Graphics. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, in the misty, foggy realm (though it's always clear above the fog) of Pacifica. He lives with his partner, Anne Bevington. Son and step-son, Anthony and Glen. Two dogs, Roger and Fritz, and two cats, Betty and Baby.

He was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming, trained in commercial arts in Arizona, and has been doing graphic design for over fourteen years. Also a skilled hand analyst for twenty years, he credits his mother, an astrologer for over thirty years, for the inspirational beauty of the ZodMan™ Series. He also enjoys writing prose and poetry.

He currently contributes to an online Hand Analyst Board founded by Palmistry International located in the UK, under the screen name of...you guessed it...ZodMan™.

Why ZodMan™? ZodMan™ is part acronym for "Zodiac of David". The "Man" part well, just seemed to fit. The ZodMan™ Sagittarius logo is based on a self-portrait...not the back end, just the front...the part that looks like a Man. Before the Krispy Kreme franchise built a store nearby.

Is the ZodMan™ a Sagittarius? No, he's a Capricorn, and as his Mother would remind him, a Capricorn with Venus in his First House, and Moon in Scorpio.

About the Print

Though far removed from the original concept, which was ready to be published in 1996 as a single 24" x 36" print, the ZodMan™ Series was carefully recreated and redrawn to be over twice it's original width (48" x 48") over a period of eight years in his spare time. We think the extra time was well spent, and we are thankful of the artist's inclusion of the three smaller prints, calendar, greeting cards, postcards and more.

The ZodMan™ Series Prints are printed on a high quality 12pt paper, and are UV coated giving you a high quality litho art print that will last for ages to come!

The beauty of the ZodMan™ Series prints is that it doesn't overwhelm the viewer with an overabundance of text-based information, typical of Zodiac prints of yore, but uses an artistic approach to educate and visually delight any viewer.

The ZodMan™ Series Prints, ZMA; ZMB; ZMD are square by design. The artist kept insisting that a square design would appeal to the consumers of all 12 Zodiac signs. That way, any purchaser of the print may hang the print in any direction they choose, Leo's, Aquarian's, Scorpio's and Taurian's may choose to hang their print diagonally, while the other signs may choose to hang "their own sign" towards the top, or traditionally...with the first house of Aries, and the twelfth house of Pisces pointing Westward of the viewer's eyes. All in all, that's 8 different positions for you to enjoy!

Astrologers enjoy using the square prints flat on the table or nearby while doing readings, easily showing the lay person relevant information; Cardinal, Fixed, Mutable Aspects; Traditional house colors and symbols; Planet colors and symbols; Elementary compatibles: Fire, Air, Water, Earth; without overwhelming the client with data irrelevant to the reading.
